1/4cVegetable oil
3tbDiet margarine
1tbSkim milk
1 Egg
1/2tsVanilla extract
1tsBaking powder
1/2tsCinnamon
1/2tsGinger
1/4tsGround cloves
1 1/2cAll-purpose flour
GLAZE
12pkEqual
1/2tsCinnamon
2tbBoiling water

Beat well. Combine dry ingredients; blend into liquid mixture. Roll into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Flatten each ball to 1/4 inch thickeness with tines of fork to form criss-cross pattern. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 8 minutes. GLAZE: Combine glaze ingredients. Brush over cookies while still warm. Makes 2 dozen cookies, 2 cookies per serving. CALORIES per serving: 127 - traditional calories 220. DIABETIC EXCHANGE: 1 starch, 1 fat. This is a soft cake-like cookie.
